A new user can join your project as follows:

• Setup an account at SAFE: https://safe.epcc.ed.ac.uk/ using an @newcastle.ac.uk email address
• Request access to a project (Project : Request access)
• Choose your project name (starting bdncl)
• Request a username on Bede: users…
  • can choose a username for their Bede account
  • can use their Newcastle Uni login name
  • can’t link an institutional account in SAFE for Bede login (i.e. You can use your campus username but it won't be linked to your Newcastle Uni account)
  • don't need to register a public key in SAFE in order to log into Bede
• The project PI (you) will receive an email asking for approval to add the user to your project
• The Bede administrators will receive an approval request to create a new account on Bede for the user
• NUIT will receive a request to approve the new user

Once everyone has approved, the new user will receive an email to let them know they can now log in to Bede. They will then need to follow the initial login process.
