  • Matlab - Our local support page for Matlab on HPC

Desktop GUI

The full Matlab GUI can be run from Open OnDemand. This offers both a CPU and GPU-accelerated node choice.

This allows users who want or need a very powerful workstation interface to the desktop Matlab application to take advantage of the increased CPU and memory resources of the HPC facility without needing to resort to command line batch processing using Slurm.

This interface works exactly as it would running on a local physical Linux workstation and is accessed entirely through your browser from the Comet Open OnDemand web portal.

Please see our Open OnDemand documentation for further detail.

Requests

Requests for new/alternate versions of this package should be submitted via the NUIT ITService website using the HPC Software - Installation category.

Software requests will be collated, prioritized and submitted to our HPC support vendor.

We are only able to provide Matlab versions for which the University already holds a license. This is usually:

  • Current version
  • Current version minus 1
