STAR-CCM+

Important!

Most users of STAR-CCM+ are using a version installed in their group project directory. This documentation is only relevant to users running STAR-CCM+ from the module.

Consult your project colleagues to understand which version of STAR-CCM+ you are expected to use.

STAR-CCM+ is a software module available on Comet.

STAR-CCM+ overview

To access STAR-CCM+ on Comet, run module load STAR-CCM+. This will load the default version of STAR-CCM+.

An overview of the module information is shown below (module -r spider ^STAR-CCM+$):

STAR-CCM+:
    Description:
      Siemens STAR-CCM+ 25.06.07 R8 installation

     Versions:
        STAR-CCM+/20.04.007

  For detailed information about a specific "STAR-CCM+" package (including how to load the modules) use the module's full name.
  Note that names that have a trailing (E) are extensions provided by other modules.
  For example:

     $ module spider STAR-CCM+/20.04.007

If there are multiple versions of STAR-CCM+ listed, then you can load a specific version as follows:

$ module load STAR-CCM+/version_string

You can find the most up to date information whilst logged on to Comet by running module -r spider ^STAR-CCM+$.

STAR-CCM+ Help

The module STAR-CCM+ has the following embedded help text (module help STAR-CCM+):

STAR-CCM+ 25.06.07

This module sets up the environment for STAR-CCM+ 25.06.07 R8.

To run:
    starccm+

Make sure your license server is configured if required.
