Fail due to your insufficient permissions

  • check what you are trying to modify
  • check your user is in the correct group at https://groups.ncl.ac.uk from on campus

Advanced View

Check access on a directory or file for an individual user

Add a group or user - minimise your admin workload:

  • minimise number of directories with non-standard permissions
  • keep to high level directories

Troubleshoot User or Group permissions
NB: traverse is required for read access
