Project Description

(1) Large numbers of single-core jobs (typically 15 mins - 6 hours per job) with moderate memory (1-2GB) and scratch disk (10-20GB) needs.
(2) Smaller numbers of multi-core large memory (128-512GB) jobs needing TB scratch disk space.

Need access to tens of TB of data on filestore (currently departmental but may move to central once this is capable of Linux FS with group/user-level access control).

Software or Compute Methods

Bespoke and in-house s/w currently hosted on departmental servers. Some of this is restricted access so need to be very careful about local installations.
