Project Description

Project to migrate users of the SAgE GEODESY compute service to the University HPC facility in order to run GipsyX & GNSS research compute activity. Will be used by both staff and postgraduate students.

Software or Compute Methods

GipsyX is a high-precision GNSS data analysis software developed and maintained by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), replacing the previous GIPSY-OASIS system. It processes data from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, DORIS, and SLR to provide centimeter-level positioning, timing, and precise orbit determination for terrestrial stations, aircraft, and satellites, including low-Earth orbiters and GNSS constellations. GipsyX supports geodetic and Earth science applications such as monitoring Earth deformation, plate tectonics, ice flow, reference frames, and Earth rotation parameters.
