Developing statistical frameworks for efficient evidence generation in diagnostic development, with a particular focus on Bayesian methods and adaptive study designs. The project involves computationally intensive simulation studies to develop, evaluate, and compare novel statistical methodologies.
R, R Shiny and Python will be the main software used for statistical computing and methodological development. Large-scale simulation studies will be conducted to evaluate the performance and operating characteristics of statistical methods under a range of scenarios. HPC job arrays and parallel computing will be used to run independent simulation replicates and scenarios efficiently.
