Project Description

Our research is centred on modelling antimicrobial resistance in bacteria. We will be using the HPC facility to perform bioinformatic analysis of large amounts of whole-genome and metagenomic sequencing data in order to identify genomic features that can help predict resistance, as well to help better understand the mechanisms, evolution, and transmission of antimicrobial resistance.


Software or Compute Methods

We will be using a range of bioinformatic tools including fastp, Kraken2, SPAdes, BWA-MEM2, Prokka, and Abricate.
