Project Description

Computation of multiple one-dimensional stellar structure and evolution model grids containing between 1000s to 10,000s of models. These models predict the structure and evolution of single and binary stars systems from the fundamental theory equations.

Software or Compute Methods

The Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics (MESA) code will be used to compute the models. This code is open source, written in Fortran and is highly parallelizable. Basic post-processing of models will be done with Python for scientific analysis.
